Roast: Medium-Dark Review Date: May 2010
Origin: San Marcos growing region, southwestern Guatemala. 
 

Blind Assessment: Balanced and quietly complete. Sweetly and gently acidy, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Dark chocolate, fir, caramel and, particularly as the cup cools, an orangy, raisiny fruit. The chocolate in particular carries into a rich, very sweet-toned finish.

Notes: Chuck Roast is named for Chuck Jones, co-founder of Jones Coffee, a Pasadena roasting company. Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) is the highest grade of Guatemala coffee.
