Jones Coffee believes in Peace through Business.  Our very own Mireya Jones is a part of an International coalition that provides long-term business education to female entrepreneurs.



As part of the Institute for the Economic Empowerment of Women, Mireya is currently mentoring Marie-Josee Kankera, a brilliant Rwandan woman and owner of a coffee processing and export company in Rwanda.



You might have met Marie-Josee if you came into the shop earlier this month.

Mireya is mentoring Marie-Josee in best business practices and in how to balance both home and work life.



Check out this excerpt from a recent Pasadena Star News article on Mireya:


“It is a world citizen’s duty to promote peace, and as an entrepreneur, I always invite the opportunity to help my fellow entrepreneur cultivate economic expansion – whether it’s in the United States or in Rwanda,” Jones said.

We had performances from Jones regulars Orlando, James, Sylvia, Alissa, Rylan & Katie, Mike & Sean, and me. Dennis, Denise, Craig and Aaron came back to perform for a second time. We heard from newcomers Beatrice, Sabrina, Liz, Jimmy, Erica and Troyel. Our largest slate of performers yet!

Our next Open Mic at Jones Coffee Roasters will be held Friday, March 12th. Performers can sign up at 7pm, or by emailing me at openmic@jonescoffeecompany.com. Performances start at 7:30 – maybe a little earlier if we get a lot of people.
